My Three Birds.

These are my three awesome/stupid birds that we hatched.  Cornelius (a girl), Professor Ignatius Featherbottom (a boy), and Dr. Beyonce (a boy).  Dr. Beyonce has "stargazing syndrome," which is caused when the neck is twisted inside of the egg...resulting in a turned neck as an adult.  Most birds with this die while still young, but the Dr. managed to live these past two years with his brother and sister in (relative) harmony.

Paper Garden.

I've been working more and more by cutting out images and assembling them in an aesthetically pleasing order, pleasing to me at least.  This is opposed to just drawing them in a certain order.  Re-aranging them is a fun way to add perspective that might not have been there otherwise.  Here is a paper garden I made this morning, using the pretty wall color of our foyer as the back drop.

And A Plant...

Back to basics.  Here is an illustration based on a kalanchoe (sp?) plant of mine...

Two Lumps.

Anyone that knows me, and the way my stupid brian works, knows that I fall back on things a lot.  Such is the case with drawing monsters, plants, and tea pots.  I don't usually fall back on them because I'm lazy, its usually out of necessity.  Be it lack of inspiration or exhaustion these are my go to subjects for illustration.  The outcome is normally pretty uninspired...like todays drawing.  But you know my motto... something is always better than nothing.

Also, I've finally gotten around to making a twitter account for this blog...so go ahead and follow me if you want.  @threeweekart
