Lookin Back. Passenger Pigeons.

Here is what you need to know:

   - I was in an awesome band with my best friend Rachel.
   - We made a record that really wasn't that great...which kinda makes sense, but not really.
   - I made a stop motion animated music video...for one of our better songs.
   - We haven't played together in years, but I look back very fondly.

Lookin Back. Small Love.

   Small love is a multimedia art project I finished at the beginning of this year.  It involved an album of original music and an art show based on the music.    Funny thing about this one is how long I actually sat on the music.  I finished recording most of it before I started beauty school July of 2010.  Anyway....enjoy.

Lookin Back. Stacked Animals.

Around the Summer of 2007 I made a series of water color paintings.  The subject matter?  Animals standing on top of each other.  :)

I'm kind of having a bummer day.  Someone send me a joke or something.

Lookin Back. Admiral of the Narrow Sea.

For about a year I performed under the name Admiral of the Narrow Sea.  I don't really remember what spurred the name change, but it indeed happened.  In my head the music and performance was drastically different than the music I was performing under my given name. In reality, only the themes differed.   Regardless, this project was one of my favorites....and if you ask me, my best and most weird album.  Enjoy.

The album was limited to 100 physical copies.  I made the linoleum cuts myself, and inked each one.  The cover depicts a cartoonish fiji mermaid... which fits nicely in the the extensive nautical theme of the album.

The inside of the album liner notes.  The guests include longtime collaborators like Dibs and Karen Codd, as well as a bunch of amazing friends that I'd never worked with. 

The press photos for the album were taken by Matt Accardo, who also played bass on the album, and the few live shows that I performed under this name.

I played a total of 6 shows under this guise, both with and without a band.  Including a Magnetic Fields   cover show.

Lookin Back. Etsy.

For my first Lookin Back, I'm including the only two things I've ever sold on Etsy.  I've had a "shop" on Etsy for years...and though I've bought many, MANY things on the site (including a dead bat encased in lucite) I haven't had much luck in the sales department.

The illustration above was included in a now defunct southern clothing line for kids called Lark and Loon.  The shirts were totally splendid, as were the small residual checks I was receiving at the time.

  This is a illustration of president Lincoln riding a bunny.  I want to meet the person who bought this.

I really hope that you guys enjoy the blog over the next three weeks.  I'd like to think that I can keep up with it....but you know.
